Dr. Feipeng Wang is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at Chongqing University, China. He was a DFG Research Fellow in Germany from 2008 to 2009. His research interests include advanced electrical insulation materials, sustainable power equipment, and sensing technologies. He has led several major national research projects in China and more than ten key projects funded by major state-owned enterprises. Professor Wang has published over 200 papers and delivered 15 keynote and invited talks at international conferences. He is the recipient of multiple provincial and ministerial science and technology awards and has served in leadership roles within IEEE DEIS and related international conferences and standards activities.

Prof. Jinliang He is a Chang Jiang Scholar Professor of China Education Ministry in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University, and the Chief Scientist of China State Key Lab of Power Systems. During Jan. 2014 to Jan. 2015, he is a visiting professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University. His research interest is in the field of advanced power transmission technology, including lightning and overvoltage protection and monitoring technology, gas-insulated transmission lines, and recyclable power cables. He is an IEEE Fellow, a CIGRE Fellow, and a foreign member of the Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Bologna, Italy. He is also the Global Energy Prize Laureate, the recipient of the IEEE Technical Achievement Award, IEEE Herman Halperin Electric Transmission and Distribution Award, Richard R. Stoddard Award. He is the founding editor-in-chief of iEnergy, the associate Editor-in-chief of CSEE Journal of Power Electrical and Energy Engineering, the associate Editor-in-chief of High Voltage.

Reimund Gerhard was born in Heidelberg. He studied mathematics and physics at TU Darmstadt and obtained a Dr.-Ing. degree in 1984. Dr. Gerhard was project manager at HHI Berlin 1985-1994 and appointed university professor of applied condensed-matter physics at U Potsdam in 1994. From 2008 to 2012, he was dean of the Faculty of Science. In 1993 and 2012, he was elected Fellow of IEEE and APS, respectively. 2018-2019, Reimund served as President of the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society. Research appointments took him to universities in Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Israel and the U.S.A.
